Byron Franklin is his government issued name, but he is known in his community as “ KAOSS ”, an aspiring rapper from North Philadelphia, who has music pumping all through his body just waiting to hit the hip-hop world.

KAOSS started rapping at the age of 15, yet he didn’t become serious about wanting success until he was 18 years old, that was the first time he stepped foot into a recording studio and his dream became a reality. KAOSS knew it would be a long road to get the sound he was looking for and after years of ridicule and harsh criticism from his peers he finally developed the tight, crisp sound he is proud to call his own. After the tragic lost of his mentor he knows that he has to keep moving forward or all of his mentor’s teaching and inspiration will be I vain.

Coming from a family of musicians, his father who played in a band and a mother who did some singing, it’s not an understatement to say that music is truly in his blood.  KAOSS is a very talented individual with an ability to switch topics and flows when he raps. He believes that “A lot of rappers are one sided and you hear the same thing on almost every song, I write music in chapters, like a book, If you were reading a book you wouldn’t want to keep reading the same thing over and over again. When I record songs they usually reflect how I’m feeling or what I’m currently going through " .

KAOSS currently has TWO albums completed “ THE MOVEMENT " , and DIARY OF A HUSTLA.” He is currently working on his third album " CHAPTERS OF MY LIFE " which is due out March '10, while looking to secure a recording deal with a major label. KAOSS undoubtedly has what it takes to make it to the top.

Recently KAOSS and his company Fitted Cap Entertainment had joined forces with Xclusive Entertainment of Detroit to focus on a strong promotions and marketing campaign. Which lead to the debut of Diary of a Hustla released November 21, 2007.

His latest album DIARY OF A HUSTLA has done far more than most have expected with over the standard numbers of an unsigned artist. KAOSS has accomplished hundreds of thousands of At cost sales. Understanding the need for exposure first he has chosen to use this album as a stepping stone to larger opportunities.
